Startups working in the digital content, e-commerce, and mobile space have a shot to participate in a summer program by applying to get a major helping hand.
NYCSeed is sponsoring the program, which aims to get young companies hooked up with "some of the best media companies, technology companies, and advertising agencies
Up to ten promising startups will be invited to come to New York City to participate in the 12-week program that starts in June. Each company will receive $20,000 to support the development and launch of their company.
"We got a dozen of the best media companies, technology companies, and advertising agencies involved," said Owen Davis, Managing Director for NYCSeed. "We're trying to bridge the gap between the largest media companies in the world and these startups."
Davis said that the most appealing startups will be those with technical cofounders, a team of at least two, and are based in New York working in the media vertical.
