Spotify set to launch in US within days

Spotify US is now in T-minus territory. The popular European on-demand music streaming service will be available stateside within a matter of days, according to sources familiar with the company's US launch plan. As we've reported, Spotify's US debut has been slated for mid-July.

Google today announced that, over the next couple of days, they'll be rolling out a refresh to the documents list, aimed to make it more useful to find, explore and share all your files stored 100% on the web.

"Before I Was A Billionaire..." (Videos Of Groupon CEO Andrew Mason From His Starving Artist Days)

Groupon is supposedly having a board meeting today to figure out whether it should take Google's $6 billion offer. (Yes!)

In the meantime, here are a couple of videos we found in Groupon founder/CEO Andrew Mason's YouTube archive, back when he was a starving artist. (The New York Times has a couple more recent videos.)

First, here he is playing Brahms on his piano, from 2008 (he studied music at Northwestern, so he's actually good).

And here he is pretending to walk down stairs and go down an elevator, also from 2008.

Android This Week: TV; Ads Add Up; 1M in 40 Days

The big news about Android covered a lot of ground this week, from streaming video to impressive sales volume. Dish Network embraced Android for streaming TV to the phone, and LG sold 1 million Optimus T smartphones in just 40 days.
