Looks Like We May Be Stuck With Just An Iphone 4s After All (aapl)

steve-jobs-iphone-4s

The evidence continues to grow that Apple will only announce an iPhone 4S on Tuesday, a souped up iPhone 4 that has the same external design but a faster processor and other powerful internals.

9to5Mac discovered a mention of the "iPhone 4S" in the latest developer beta of iTunes. The reference also links to an image of the current Verizon version of the iPhone 4.

There's no mention of an iPhone 5 or any photos of a redesigned device.

It looks like Apple pulled the iTunes beta from its developer's page. We can't find it, and we're hearing the same thing from other developers on Twitter. We're still trying to confirm Apple removed it.

Head over to 9to5Mac to see the evidence >

UPDATE: Yup, it looks like Apple has removed the latest iTunes beta from its developer's site. We just tried to download it and got the following error:

What Programming Language Would Be Best To Create A Location-based Social App? (iphone)

Answer added in topic Mobile Location Applications.

Martin Wawrusch, Created my first successful one at 14, sold one...

I agree with Mark, creating a native app is your best bet.

I would also think about using node.js+mongodb,coffeescript, mongoose and express as your back-end (If you need one), hosted on heroku, and perhaps http://app.net/ to host your app page.

Google+ Is Already The Top Free App For iPhone (GOOG, AAPL)

google plus app iphone

It hasn't even been a full 24 hours, but the iOS app for Google+ already shot to the top of Apple's charts.

It currently holds the number one spot for free apps. Sorry, “Draw ‘n’ Go: Awesomeness!”

Not only did it claim the top spot so quickly, but it's also already seen an update. TechCrunch's Erick Schonfeld calls it the fastest update to an app he's ever seen.

Ever since they've released Google+, the Google team has made it abundantly clear that they're playing for keeps when it comes to social. All signs seem to be pointing in Google's favor for now.

Google+ For iPhone Is Finally Here! Take A Look For Yourself (GOOG)

google plus app iphone

The wait is over. Google+'s iPhone app finally hit the App Store today.

The app is very similar to the Android version that launched along with Google+ a few weeks ago. There are just a few cosmetic differences.

Of note: The "Huddles" group text chat feature is now part of the Google+ app. On Android, Huddle is a separate app.

We took Google+ on iPhone for a spin this afternoon. Check it out below.

First, make sure you download the app. You can get it free in the App Store. And don't forget to check out our tour of the web version.

Here's the Google+ app icon. Tap to open

This is the initial welcome screen. Tap "Get started" to continue

Now tap "Sign in"
