The Top 10 Android Phones You Can Buy This Month (goog)

android, google wallet, sept 2011, bi, dng

You may of heard about a big phone launch coming this month from those guys in Cupertino.

But if you're reading this, you probably don't care. Android makers have plenty of powerful phones ready to go this month that can stand up to whatever Apple throws out.

We have our top Android picks for October, plus a few few rumored phones to look forward to.

#10 HTC DROID Incredible 2 (Verizon)

The DROID Incredible 2 is the sequel to one of HTC's most popular phones last year. It's not a HUGE upgrade as far as looks and performance, but it's still a solid phone.

Click here for our review of the DROID Incredible 2

Price: $199.99 with a two-year contract

#9 Motorola Photon 4G (Sprint)

The Photon is Motorola's latest super-powerful 4G smartphone. It's very similar to the Motorola Atrix 4G, with a bright qHD screen and a dual-core processor. It's also a global phone, meaning it will work on GSM networks overseas.

The first round of reviews for the Photon have been pretty good. Some think it could be the best phone on Sprint right now.

Price: $199 with a two-year contract

#8 T-Mobile G2x (T-Mobile)

The G2x has gotten stellar reviews, and is now widely considered to be the best phone on T-Mobile. It has a 1 GHz dual-core processor and can record full 1080p HD video.

Price: $149.99 with a two-year contract and mail-in rebate

These Are The Best Android Phones You Can Buy This Month (GOOG)

android figures

As the Holidays approach, we're on the verge of another mega-wave of powerful Android phones on all U.S. carriers.

We're still on the edge of our seats for the launch of Samsung's delayed Galaxy S II (expected any day now), but there are plenty of other excellent phones to hold you over until then.

Here's our list for the best Android phones you can buy this month.

Motorola Photon 4G (Sprint)

The Photon is Motorola's latest super-powerful 4G smartphone. It's very similar to the Motorola Atrix 4G, with a bright qHD screen and a dual-core processor. It's also a global phone, meaning it will work on GSM networks overseas.

The first round of reviews for the Photon have been pretty good. Some think it could be the best phone on Sprint right now.

Price: $199 with a two-year contract

Motorola DROID 3 (Verizon)

Believe it or not, the DROID that started it all is already in its third iteration. The DROID 3 is still sticking to its slide-out QWERTY keyboard and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It's 8 MP camera can shoot full 1080p HD video. It also sports a dual-core 1 GHz processor.

Reviews haven't been that great for the DROID 3. But if you're not ready to give up a full QWERTY keyboard, this is one of you're best bets.

Price: $199 with a two-year contract

Samsung Infuse 4G (AT&T;)

We're big fans of the Infuse's giant screen. Videos look absolutely gorgeous on it. The phone is also super thin and light. If you watch a lot of movies on the go, this is a great phone for you.

Read our full review of the Infuse 4G.

Price: $199.99 with a two-year contract

Enterprise IT sees phones, Facebook and tablets! Oh my!

Enterprise employees have shifted from the gray and controlled world of corporate IT to the colorful Oz of consumer technologies, but according to data from an IDC/Unisys survey IT is in need of some kind of wizard to sort things out. According to dual surveys of 560 IT managers and another interviewing 2,660 employees and executives at large companies, IT underestimates the number of employees using laptops, mobiles and tablets as well as is unable to support those consumer devices.

Comment on Google Videos coming to Android phones any day now? by adam

Android apps are free for a reason. Android is great if you want to have a red ball for a 'live wallpaper' or enjoy playing a tic Tac toe game that was created over 2 days by three koreans intent on learning your GPS position and personal phone number.
