chrome 3d demo

Google continues its rapid release of Chrome.

The latest stable release is version 12 which includes some powerful features for 3D graphics on websites.

Chrome uses what's called hardware acceleration to power interactive 3D games, videos, or menus.

That means web developers have more room to beef up their sites and make them more interactive and attractive.

To check it out for yourself, download the latest version of Chrome here.

Next, head over to Google's Chrome Experiments page for a cool interactive 3D demo.

Want A 4G iPhone? Try This (AAPL)

iphone 4 egg 4g device

If you're too impatient to wait for the iPhone 5 to maybe offer 4G speeds, a South Korean manufacturer has the answer.

Korean Telecom has made a "sleeve" called the Egg for the iPhone 4. It acts as a backup battery and a WiMAX receiver that will let you connect to 4G networks.

The Egg also appears to add a lot of extra bulk to the iPhone, but for some that may be worth it for the extra speed boost.

For now, you can only get the Egg from South Korea, but hopefully someone finds a way to bring the device to the U.S.

Now You Can Try Apps Before Buying Them In The Android Market (GOOG)

android cash

Google's in-app payment system for Android apps went live today, allowing users to purchase upgrades and other content without going back to the Android Market.

It's similar to Apple's system, but goes a step further by allowing developers to make "try and buy apps." That means users can download a free "lite" version of an app and then purchase the full version if they like it.

It doesn't look like too many apps are taking advantage of the try before buying option, but Google has enlisted a few developers for showing off in-app payments.

You can try it out in-app payments with Tap Tap Revenge, Gun Bros, Deer Hunter Challenge HD, and a few more listed here.

Comment on First Impression of Mac App Store: Try it, It’s Good. by naomi

I'm pretty sure you can license Omni Group software either to the user or to the machine. I'd contact them at sales@omnigroup.com to reality check the assumption. My understanding is that the Mac App Store is automatically a single-user license, any hacking aside.
