Google's Facebook-Killer Will Get Games And A Question-And-Answer Service

Lines in the source code for Google+ hint that the service will soon get games and a Q&A service.

Engadget uncovered several cryptic lines in the source code that mention "Google+ Games."

This isn't a surprise: earlier this year Google posted a job listing for a product manager of games who would be "significantly influencing Google's social platform."

Last year, then-CEO Eric Schmidt confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that Google would eventually announce a partnership with Zynga. Details may come out whenever Zynga files for its IPO, which is supposedly happening in days.

The source code also contains references to what looks like a question and answer service, with lines like "You might try rephrasing or tagging your question to make it easier for someone to answer" and "We haven't received an answer to your..." as well as something called "Google Experts." This could be the revamp of Aardvark, the Quora-like Q&A service that Google acquired last year.

Google continues its rapid release of Chrome.

The latest stable release is version 12 which includes some powerful features for 3D graphics on websites.

Chrome uses what's called hardware acceleration to power interactive 3D games, videos, or menus.

That means web developers have more room to beef up their sites and make them more interactive and attractive.

LEAKED PHOTO: Is This Google's Next Nexus Phone? (GOOG)

A leaked photo of what is supposedly a test model of Google's next Nexus phone started circulating today after the blog Tech Hog claims to have snagged it from an inside source.

The photo has since been removed from Tech Hog, but we managed to snag a copy here.

The phone has no room for the four home keys found on other phones, which leads us to believe the next version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, will have on-screen controls.

It's highly unlikely this is the final model of the Nexus 3, but Tech Hog said in its original post it was being developed by HTC. (HTC developed the original Nexus One phone.)

Adobe Just Leaked The News About Google's Next Android Announcement (ADBE, GOOG)

Flash for Honeycomb tablets got an update to version 10.2, allowing for faster web video.

But the real news comes from the update's description, where it hints at being compatible with Honeycomb version 3.1. They current version of Honeycomb is 3.0, so we assume that means a tablet update is on the way.

From the brief description provided by we know that Honeycomb 3.1 will allow for hardware accelerated video. That means your tablet's processor and hardware will be used to make streaming videos run faster and smoother. The new version of Flash will also work better with Honeycomb's new browser.
