Our Five Favorite iPhone Games This Week

gerbil video game

Your iPhone can book a flight, send email, take high quality pictures, pinpoint your location on a map, and give you directions to anywhere you want to go. And oh yeah, there's games too.

Here are five of our favorites from this week. Don't sprain a thumb.

Super Stickman Golf

This scaled-down golf game will keep you occupied for hours before you get bored with it. The single player mode is huge, offering numerous courses full of interesting challenges. The multiplayer mode just tops it off -- play a speed round with someone over Game Center, or take turns chipping and putting with a friend by passing one device back and forth.

Mos Speedrun

If Super Mario was a minigame, it would be this exciting 8-bit platformer. You can play the levels on multiple fronts -- for speed, treasure collection, or finding each level's "secret." This gives the game huge replay value.

Price: $1.99

Great Little War Game

This turn-based wargame lets you pit your cartoon army against the AI in single player or real people in pass-and-play mode. Don't let the childish graphics fool you -- you'll be positioning snipers, flying helicopters, and dealing animated death on a hexboard, and you'll love it.

Price: $2.99
