Learn about Esri's ArcGIS for iOS at Online Live Training Seminar

Find Out How to Use Mapping Application on Apple's iPhone and iPad and Create Custom Applications

Redlands, California—October 26, 2010Esri's ArcGIS for iOS application lets users navigate maps, collect and report data, and perform geographic information system (GIS) analyses with Apple's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. To help people familiarize themselves with the application and an accompanying API for creating custom mapping solutions, Esri will host Introduction to ArcGIS for iOS on Thursday, October 28, 2010, at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. Pacific daylight time.

          Attendees will learn about

● Options for deploying GIS data and functionality on iOS devices such as the iPhone

● Tools in the ArcGIS for iOS application to find and use maps

● Strategies for serving maps for use in the application

● Workflows to create and distribute custom applications using the ArcGIS API for iOS

● Functionality that can be implemented in custom applications

        This online seminar is geared toward Esri software users who currently serve data via ArcGIS Server and want to extend their GIS use to iOS devices. The seminar will also be of interest to GIS and iOS developers who want to learn options for customizing applications using the ArcGIS API for iOS.
