Here Are The Must-Have Android Phones For This Month (GOOG)

April was a huge month for Android phones, with the launch of at least five major devices across all carriers.

That means some of the older phones like T-Mobile's MyTouch 4G and HTC's DROID Incredible are finally being replaced by new phones that pack more power. (Although those are still great devices to have.)

But there are still some old favorites out there that still handle just as well as they did on Day One.

As we do every month, we took a look at the best Android phones available now, no matter which carrier you use. Check them out.

Samsung's DROID Charge is Verizon's second 4G phone

Although Samsung's DROID Charge experienced a minor delay thanks to Verizon's 4G outage last week, it now makes a solid choice for Android fans. Like HTC's Thunderbolt, the Charge runs on Verizon's speedy 4G network. It runs Android 2.2 Froyo, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, and an 8 MP camera.

Our only concern is the price. At $300 with a two-year contract, it's ony of the most expensive phones Verizon has to offer.

Price: $300 with two-year contract from Verizon

Who it's for: Anyone who wants to take advantage of Verizon's 4G network.

HTC DROID Incredible 2 is a nice upgrade from the original

One of HTC's most popular smartphones of 2010 just got a sweet upgrade. The DROID Incredible 2 has a gorgeous display, runs Android 2.2 Froyo, and takes great photos with its 8 MP camera. Plus you get all the benefits of HTC's Sense user interface.

Price: $199.99 with two-year contract from Verizon

Who it's for: Android fans who don't mind missing out on 4G

T-Mobile G2x has quickly become T-Mobile's best phone

Reviews of T-Mobile's G2x have been fantastic so far. Critics love its powerful graphics processor (dual core), 4-inch screen, and full 1080p HD video recording. It's a great 4G phone, and very affordable compared to its competitors on Verizon.

Price: $199.99 with a two-year contract from T-Mobile

Who it's for: Gamers and anyone looking for a fast, powerful phone at a great price
