Agree. A man without a tablet is like a fish without a bicycle. But a more appropriate analogy (and a less entertaining one than that of Shock Me) is that a tablet (esp iPad) is a bit like chocolate. You can live without it, but why would you, if you could afford it ?

Let me play devil's advocate. The remote control P+/P- is still the easiest (and brain-dead) way to consume TV. Why would a majority of people choose a more cumbersome approach? Agreed, FB integrates Netflix integrates Xbox integrates youtube integrates twitter integrates watchamcallit - but this still does not beat the simplicity of a P+/P-. For all talk of content customization, my two questions: 1. How will this change consumption behavior? 2. Live TV stays relevant for news, sports - unless the content creators in this space move out of TV distribution, consumption behavior is not gonna change. We might hate it, but live TV rules in the real world.

I never signed up for Flickr or other photo sharing sites. Recently I started using burstn and found it gradually became addictive. There's something compelling about scrolling through so many different people's photographs as they appear in burstn's timeline as well as contributing your own. I started thinking about seeing all those different photographs side-by-side over time and started to experiment with photo collages - probably not what burstn was designed for- but uploading works fine, and their system seems to handle all the weird photo sizes I throw at it. It's been a lot of fun.
