Box.net Integrates Google Docs and Spreadsheets Into Its Cloud Platform
Box.net, a cloud storage and collaboration service today launched an in-depth integration with Google's Docs and Spreadsheets directly within the platform. This is aimed to taken on its competitor Microsoft SharePoint.

Google Finally Releases A Native Android App For Google Docs (GOOG)
Google has introduced an Android app that will let users access and edit documents stored in Google Docs.
The app -- which is not available on any other platform -- could help Google leverage Android's popularity to sell its online services to businesses. Earlier this month, Google added several other services that connect the platforms, including an Android contacts lookup app that works with Gmail.
It also shows how Google is hedging its bets when it comes to the "native vs. Web" debate for mobile apps. Previously, the only way to edit Google Docs (and spreadsheets) was through a mobile browser-based interface. But native apps tend to offer a better experience for users, and a lot of new companies building mobile services are focusing on native apps first.
The new app lets you search for documents across multiple Google accounts or open them directly from Gmail, then edit them right on the screen and share them with other Google contacts.
However, editing only works with Google Docs-formatted files. Users can view Office documents and PDF files by uploading them to Google Docs first -- but won't be able to edit them unless they convert them.
The app also lets you take pictures of text and automatically convert them into a Google document using optical-character recognition.
More info about the app, including a QR code that lets you download it directly to your Android phone, is available on Google's enterprise blog.

Google Docs Missing ‘Details View’ Back Now!
Google Docs recent homepage refresh added many useful features, but also made some changes; like Google somehow decided to hide useful information like the last modified date and the list of collaborators from the list view because it was available in the sidebar.

How To Sync Microsoft Office To Google Docs (GOOG, MSFT)
One thing we love about mobile office apps like Quickoffice is the ability to sync your documents online using services like Google Docs or Dropbox.
Now that feature has come to the most popular office suite in the world, Microsoft Office.
Starting today, anyone with a Google account can download a free plugin called Cloud Connect for Office that will let you sync your Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files between your desktop and Google Docs.
The plugin is only available for Windows users. Download it here.
After installing, you'll see a new Google toolbar in your Office applications where you can log in and sync to your Google Docs account.

Google Docs Gets A Refresh With Gmail-Like Features (GOOG)
Google Docs announced a refresh to its sorting system today that takes a few popular design elements from Gmail to make it easier to find and view your documents.
The first feature, Priority Sorting, is similar to Gmail's Priority Inbox in that it filters documents you are likely to need and places them at the top of your search.
There are also new filters to help find documents by file type, visibility (public, private, etc.), and name.
Folders are gone too. Instead, they have been replaced by a Collections column that acts more like labels in Gmail than traditional folders.You can tag documents under multiple collections (just like Gmail) and you can share them with people you collaborate with.
A new column on the right of the screen provides a preview of highlighted documents and files. You can also view stats on each document such as collaborators and the last date it was modified. Photos can be viewed individually or in a sleek new slideshow view, reminiscent of Picasa's Web Albums.
The refresh is rolling out to Google Docs users starting today and should appear for everyone within the next few days.
