Poll Results On Esri Arcgis Online Vs Google Earth Builder, And New Poll On Cloud Gis

Thanks to Andrew who found out that the poll engine was strangely behaving, it gave me an excuse to offer you a new poll on 'cloud GIS'.

The previous poll on Esri ArcGIS Online vs Google Earth Builder generated 213 votes. 42% of users anticipate that both will be successes in their own way, and funnily enough, two distinct groups made of 24% of users believe that one will prevail on the other. For what's left, 7% think neither will gain momentum and there's even 2% of users that wish that Bing Maps will prevail over the two front runners.

Last I checked running WiFi hot spots drains batteries profoundly. If you running 4G by the time you actually jump on your battery would be toast. Regardless having a tablet with instant on was the point. If you have to mess around with setting up a hotspot you might as well have a laptop instead.

Does Anyone Actually Use FaceTime? [POLL] (AAPL)

Apple is expected to add a front facing camera to iPad 2, bringing yet another device into its "FaceTime" fold.

When the front-facing camera was added to the iPhone we thought it novel, but ultimately useless.

And so far that has proven to be the case for us.

However! We don't travel much for work, and we don't have grandchildren, so maybe we're not the best people to judge.

Social shopping is a form of e-commerce in which you can share and access information about retail products through your friends or other users. POLL: Do You Use Twitter Regularly?

Twitter is adding 370,000 new users a day. It now has 175 million users worldwide.

But Twitter still has yet to go truly mainstream in the US (at least relative to Facebook). According to Compete.com, moreover, U.S. visitors to the site grew only 13% year over year.

So this begs the question: What percentage of people who sign up for Twitter actually go on to use it regularly?  And what percentage play with it for a while and then abandon it?

Our readers are major-league information-hungry tech users, so we suspect the percentage of regularly Twitter users is much higher than in the general population.  But we're still curious.  So please share your own experience below.

(By "regularly," we mean once a month or more).
